Metal Storm has been successful in winning and completing a number of military research, development and weapon production contracts in recent years.  In general our customers have asked us to apply Metal Storm technology and weapons to particular needs that they have or can foresee for future operational requirements.  

Several projects involved weaponising a range of robotic vehicles for urban military operations, asset protection, crowd control (less lethal), and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD).  Others included the development of specialised Metal Storm stacked less lethal munitions and EOD disruptor munitions.

Contracts also included the development of a lightweight 12 gauge combat weapon with grenade launching capabilities, a vehicle mounted launcher that fires electronic "tags" to track stolen vehicles, and the delivery of a production multi-barreled 40mm system for field testing by the US Military.
